Mary Sherman is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional with over 25 years of experience. She has worked with the University of Virginia Faculty and Employee Assistance Program since 1996 focused on Prevention, Mental Health Awareness, and Resilience training.  Mary co-leads the FEAP/Hoos Well webinar series focused on bringing current information related to emotional well-being.  She obtained her Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology in 2016 and is a Bounce Back Better Certified Resiliency trainer.  Additionally, Mary trained as a professional coach and has used her coaching skills in working with clients for over 20 years.  She has expertise helping people build their resiliency skills, manage stress, improve communication skills, balance work and home, and increase happiness. Mary is passionate about sharing information on positive psychology and evidence-based practices that can help people flourish in their lives.  She is a dynamic and engaging presenter on a variety of positive practices designed to enhance people;s overall well-being.

Mary also enjoys walking her dog Buddy, playing pickleball, practicing mindfulness, and spending time with family and friends.
